Since 2009, MAZARO’s transmission technology has been awarded four grants from IWT (now VLAIO) which is the Flemish government agency for Innovation by Science and Technology.

In 2015, MAZARO’s Reversible Variable Transmission was honored with the European Frost & Sullivan Award for Visionary Innovation Leadership.

Europe’s HORIZON 2020 SME Instrument further supported the development of MAZARO’s technology with a “Seal of Excellence” and two grants (SME I - 683695 and SME II 768386).

Solar Impulse Label

MAZARO won the Solar Impulse Label which awards efficient, clean and profitable solutions with a positive impact on environment and quality of life.

Intellectual Property protection

The transmission principles of MAZARO are unique and the solutions may look simple but they are the result of many years of high-level mathematical theory and extensive R&D. The very basic principles as well as practical solutions and further improvements are all protected by international PCT patents.

AIRBUS ‘Why stop at zero? Challenge’ Award

MAZARO was one of the three winners of AIRBUS’ "The Future of Mobility - Why stop at zero?“ Challenge out of hundreds of innovative competing projects in the green mobility sector. This Award included a possible cooperation with AIRBUS and a booth on IAA Mobility Summit (Munich Sept. 7-12 2021) world’s largest automotive exhibition, which offered exciting new business opportunities.
