Cost efficient design
Simple, compact, robust & low TCO
MAZARO transmissions contain much fewer components and are about 25% less heavy compared to other transmission systems like Automatics, DCT’s or Manuals. Moreover, the absence of gears leads to lower cost manufacturing. This makes MAZARO transmissions very robust and also less expensive to manufacture.
Compared to current transmissions, the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the end user further goes down significantly because of the 11-19% energy saving, the potential to downsize the engine or E-motor and batteries and the fact that the systems are designed to be maintenance-free during their entire life cycle.
The RVT with its large overdrive ratios and infinite spread is one simple construction that replaces the torque converter (or drive away clutch), some 16 gear pairs, all synchronizers or clutches, the reversing gears and a complex and delicate hydraulic control unit of standard transmissions.
The SVT is an even simpler construction, offering a spread up to 10 and replacing several gear pairs with their accompanying synchronizers or clutches and a hydraulic control block.
