For E-vehicles the SVT offers the following benefits:

For engine driven off-highway vehicles such as lift trucks, tractors, construction and garbage trucks, large city and (inter-)regional buses, the RVT offers the following benefits:
Benefits over Powershifts and Automatics with torque converter:
- Much lower fuel consumption (i.e. 30 ton city bus: 11 to 17% compared to a 6 speed Automatic)
- Unlimited creeping capabilities without wearing as the RVT contains no clutch, a component that is prone to wear in heavy duty vehicles
- Very precise speed controlled maneuvering

- No shift shocks, smooth and continuous acceleration
- Drive-off with low engine speed, lowering engine noise

Engine driven trucks, small buses, coaches and cars benefit most from an SVT with a drive away clutch, a reversing gear and optionally a direct drive:

For generator sets, the SVT is the best option:

For large compressors driven by an E-motor and frequency converter (VSD), the SVT is the most suitable:
Benefits over a variable-speed-motor with frequency converter:
- No need for a frequency converter
- Constant speed-motor instead of variable-speed-motor
- Less expensive
- More reliable in harsh atmospheric conditions: dusty air, at or near the sea, salt mines …
- Suitable for mining industry
